Litchfield triathlete Clifford Cooper competed in the New York City Triathlon on July 18. Cooper, 67, was one of 2,300 entrants who swam 1.5 kilometers in the Hudson River, biked 40 kilometers through Manhattan, and did a 10-K run that finished in Central Park.
The ageless Cooper, an accomplished triathlete, beat the heat to finish in 3 hours and 57 seconds. His time in the swim was 18:25, in the bike 1:25.07, and in the run 1:04.58.
