The fourth week of the White Memorial Cross-Country Series drew a record 146 runners, shattering the previous record of 117.

More runners have competed in the series this summer than all of last summer. There are eight weeks in the series, which is held each Thursday at 6:30 p.m. Entry is $2.

Thursday's 5-K race saw Colin McCrory of Southbury take first place in 16:07. Annemarie Tuxbury of New Hartford was the first female finisher, in 18:15. The 2-K race saw three Litchfield Track Club runners stand out. Jackson Morrow of Harwinton was first in 7:08, the second fastest time in series history, Sean Labbe of Riverton finish in 8:08, and Megan Bobinski of Torrington finish in a record 8:13.

LTC runner Sabrina Olsen of Thomaston won the 3-K race in 11:23. Zachary Williams of Morris was the first male, in 12:37. Rob Breakell of Goshen won the 4-K race in 16:40.
