Another large field of runners converged on the White Memorial Conservation Center on Thursday for the third week of the White Memorial Cross-Country Series sponsored by the Parks and Recreation Department and the Litchfield Track Club.

A total of 114 runners age 3 to 62 participated on another hot and humid evening. The 2-K race was won by Zachary Tuxbury of New Hartford in 7:46. Maggie Swomley of Litchfield was the first female, in 8:50. The 3-K saw Ray Lapinski of New Hartford win in 10:59 followed by Annmarie Tuxbury of New Hartford in 11:09.

In the 4-K race, Chris Mangini of New Hartford was first in 18:02. Second was Claudia Ghisa of Watertown. Blake Fenwick won the 5-K race and Sabrina Olsen of Thomaston was the first female finisher.

The series begins each Thursday at 6:30 p.m. Entry is $2.
