Tri-Town's All-Star team of 11 and 12 year-olds were eliminated from the District 6 tournament with a 10-7 loss to tournament host Avon on Friday.
Avon took advantage of Tri-Town's sloppy defensive play to grab an 8-3 lead after two innings. The lead grew to 10-3 before Tri-Town mounted a comeback to trail 10-7 after five innings. But that was as close as it would get.
Tri-Town, coached by Fred Bunnell, won three of its five games in the tournament.
