On June 22, as part of the festivities proceeding the Traveler’s Championship, Northfield resident, Jason Leigh was part of the winning team in the Annual Golf Digest Junior Pro-am at the TPC at River Highlands.

The team of Jason, 16, three other junior golfers, 15, 13 and 11 and PGA Tour Pro Mark Brooks won the 9 team tournament which was a scramble format.

Some highlights for Jason, after earlier in the day sinking a 20 foot birdie on the 5th hole to start them moving under par, he hit a 165 yard 7 iron to the par 3 8th and on their last hole of the match, set up Mark brooks with a long drive on the par 4, second hole, who holed out an eagle wedge to finish up the nine with a 6 under par 29 to win with some tough competition.
