The Litchfield Cowboys had to play two games in the Tri-State League on Sunday, the first in Amenia, N.Y., and the nightcap in Wolcott.

Kevin Murray pitched six strong innings and Carl Rivers closed out Amenia in the seventh for the Cowboys. Travis Dreher had a double and single and Ben Murphy a double to pace the offense.
In the Wolcott game, Litchfield scored all of its runs in the top of the seventh to make the game interesting. Murphy had two of the Cowboys' six hits. Chris Beach was the losing pitcher.
The Tri-Town Trojans, meanwhile, improved to 5-7 with a 4-3 victory over Prospect at Community Field. Jon Smart's suicide squeeze bunt in the bottom of the eighth inning scored what turned out to be the winning run. Smart added a double and Casey McDonald had a single and one RBI.
