A large group of local runners competed in the Fairfield Half-Marathon and its accompanying 5-K race on Sunday.

The 5-K saw three Litchfield runners crack the top 20. Colin Gannon was second in 16:46, Ryan Gannon eighth in 18:17 and Michal Dichter 18th in 19:18. Also finishing the race were Jacob Dichter in 24:00, Julius Dichter in 25:17, Dan Dichter in 28:07 and Susan Dichter.

In the half-marathon, John McKenna of Morris finished in 1:33.08, Matt Andrulis Mette in 1:44.06, Carla Angevine of Warren in 1:55.02, Sean Gannon of Litchfield in 1:56.40, Berta Andrulis Mette of Litchfield in 2:02.06 and Sue Clarkin of Litchfield in 2:11.11. Alisa Wright and Brian McCormick, both of Litchfield, also ran the half-marathon.
