Pitching has been a strength this season for the Tri-Town Trojans of the Tri-State League, but it wasn't on Sunday.
Watertown jumped on three Trojans pitchers for 16 hits in a 16-5 victory at Community Field. Tri-Town was still in reach after seven innings, trailing 7-4, but Watertown erupted for eight runs in the eighth to put the game away.
For Tri-Town, which received two hits apiece from Nick Lahoud and Casey McDonald, fell to 3-6. Watertown, a new team in the league, is 9-2.
Tri-Town is once again being managed by Ryan McDonald. Other former Litchfield High players dotting the roster are Jon Smart, Jason Patrick and Joe Bunnell. Wamogo graduates are Kyle Osolin and Andrew Osolin and from Forman is Dan McCarty.
