Wamogo's Brooke Bittel was good but Terryville's Beth Grimes was even better in Monday's softball game at Wamogo. Grimes pitched a two-hitter and struck out 14 to lead Terryville to a 4-0 win. Bittel held Terryville to two runs through six innings before giving up two runs in the seventh. Rachel Kohout and Suzie Theriault had the hits for Wamogo. Despite the loss, Wamogo stood at 12-6 in one of the best seasons in school history. In the photos, Bittel delivers a pitch, Kohout throws to first base for an out, and Megan Murray takes a swing.
