Wamogo blasted Abbott Tech 52-17 in the first round of the Class S girls basketball tournament on Monday.
Next up for the Warriors (20-3) is Canton on Thursday at 7 p.m. at Wamogo.
Canton defeated Platt Tech 68-27 in a first-round game on Monday.
Wamogo and Canton are playing in the state tournament for the third straight year. In 2008, Canton was a 42-40 winner in the second round. Last year, Wamogo came out on top, 57-45, in the quarterfinals.
The Wamogo-Canton winner will face the winner of Thursday's St. Paul-Terryville game in the quarterfinals on Saturday at a site to be determined.
Wamogo turned Monday's game into a rout in the first quarter, leading 21-3 by the end of the period. Caycee Williams finished with 16 points and six rebounds to pace Wamogo. Kerri Stolle added 10 points and four assists and Megan Layman had nine points.
