Wamogo junior Mike Odenwaelder was recognized Friday for joining an elite crowd: the school's boys 1,000-career point scoring list. Odenwaelder broke the barrier in an overtime victory over Wolcott Tech Jan. 29. He was honored following Wamogo's home-court win over Lewis Mills on Friday. Participating in the ceremony with Odenwaelder were his coach, Gregg Hunt, Wamogo Principal William Egan and the school's athletic director, Mary Stolle. Odenwaelder was presented with a ball to mark the accomplishment. He scored 20 points against Lewis Mills to boost his career total to 1,055. Others on the scoring list are Chuck Aleksinas (1,916), Jed Coe (1,358), Charlie O'Neill (1,163), Ryan Margaitis (1,102) and Jeremy Margaitis (1,053).
