Cowboys face Tech; Cowgirls win third game

Litchfield High's boys basketball team, at 11-3 and in second place in the Berkshire League, faces a tough assignment tonight when it plays at Wolcott Tech.

Wolcott Tech at 9-5 is the most improved team in the league but is coming off a 72-46 loss to Northwestern on Tuesday.

The Cowboys, looking to win their third straight game, were 61-45 winners at Shepaug on Tuesday. Mike Andrulis paced the winning effort with 22 points, Andrew Luzzi had 14 and Caleb Buck and Anthony Brown 11 each.
Litchfield's girls are coming off a 39-35 victory over Shepaug on Tuesday and will host Wolcott Tech tonight. The Cowgirls are 3-13.
Kaitlin Hill's two free throws with 32 seconds left iced the victory. In the scoring column, the Cowgirls were led by Kaylee Cappello with 14 points, Sandra Quinion with eight and Jennifer Cappello with six. The Cappellos each had eight rebounds.
