Sandra Quinion's big night led Litchfield High's girls basketball team to its second victory of the season on Friday, a 56-51 decision over Gilbert.
Quinion fired in a career-high 22 points as the Cowgirls overcame a 23-19 halftime deficit with a strong third quarter. Coach Joe Lefkowski's club outscored Gilbert 22-13 in the period and held on to the lead through the fourth quarter.
Litchfield takes its 2-11 record into Tuesday's game at Nonnewaug.
Complementing Quinion Friday were Jennifer Cappello and Isabelle Binstadt each with 11 points. Kaylee Cappello was back at full speed for the Cowgirls after spraining an ankle against Wamogo last week.
