Forman School runner Doodle Funk heads for the finish line at the Hudson Valley Athletic League meet Nov. 4.

Doodle Funk of Litchfield, a sophomore on the girls cross-country team at the Forman School, took first place in the Hudson Valley Athletic League championship meet Nov. 4.

Funk finished the 3.1-mile race in 21:15. The meet was held at the New York Military Academy in Cornwall, N.Y. She will compete in the New England prep school championship meet Saturday in Berwick, Maine.
