Sixteen Litchfield High players dot the roster of the Forman School football team, which finished 3-3 in the regular season and will play a Hudson Valley Football League bowl game Saturday against the Dalton School of New York City.
Many of the Litchfield players are in key roles for coach Sam Keator's Lions.
Darren Crowder, a sophomore wingback, is one of them. He's the team's second-leading rusher and has scored five touchdowns.
Billy Pickett, the only Litchfield senior, plays fullback and linebacker and is one of the team's captains. Litchfield junior Alex Slohm, a 6-foot-4, 310-pounder, has been an anchor on the offensive and defensive lines.
Other Litchfield players on the team are Ryan Longley, Evan Lee, Darren Laskey, Steve Nalband, Alex Lockwood, Ian Weik, Peter Dauten, Brady Wicks, Mike Kent, Christian Wiles-Lafayette, Mitch Dupre, Ryan Edson and David Randazzo.
