VNA Northwest Prepares for Eleventh Annual Golf Tournament
Press Release (2-19-10)

BANTAM -- Volunteers for VNA Northwest, Inc. have started preparing for the agency’s 11th Annual Golf Tournament, scheduled for Monday, September 20, at Fairview Farm Golf Course in Harwinton. Proceeds from this event help fund care for local Hospice and Home Care patients. The tournament chairperson is Peter Belval of Woodbury.

Other members of the committee are: Alice Dember of Goshen, Cindy Donaldson of Torrington, Laurel Galloway of Litchfield, Arthur J. Mulligan, III, of Southbury and Russell Riva, Jr. of Salisbury. VNA Northwest staff members working with the committee are Bridget Beauchaine, Nancy Deming and Joyce Dunn.

Last year’s golf tournament raised nearly $23,000. Nancy Deming, executive director of VNA Northwest, said, “We are grateful to have so many loyal supporters from within the communities we serve. Their generous sponsorships and donations to this event allow us to continue our mission of providing quality home care and hospice services to patients in Litchfield County.”

All supporters are listed in the agency’s newsletter, which is mailed to residents in most northwest Connecticut towns. Business owners and individuals may get involved by calling Bridget Beauchaine at 860-567-6000 or 1-800-752-0215. More information is available on the agency’s website, www.vnanw.org. Donations to the tournament are tax-deductible.

The registration fee will remain at $150. Golfers are encouraged to reserve spots early, since space is limited. On-line registration is available at www.vnanw.org. Non-golfers are encouraged to attend the social and dinner at Fairview Farm’s spacious clubhouse for just $35 per person.

VNA Northwest is a 2009 HomeCare Elite™ agency, which means it is ranked among the top 25 percent of home health agencies nationwide.
