Leisure suits and big hair were in style during the Lounge Lizards Dance Party Saturday night at the Litchfield Community Center. It was an evening of dancing to the disco tunes of the 1970s and music of the '80s. Local celebrity Brent Hawkins, sporting a gaudy orange suit, was the master of ceremonies, reminiscing about his glory days in the two decades of decadence. Hawkins also lit up the dance floor, as did dance instructor Deb Harpin. Supplying the tunes was the band The Litchfield Dance Party, which included Litchfield High School music teacher Dan Porri on bass guitar and Litchfield Intermediate School physical education teacher Andy Parker on drums.
