Laurel Ridge Farm in Litchfield hosted the 10th annual Celebration of Connecticut Farms on Sunday afternoon. John Morosani welcomed a large crowd to support the efforts of the Connecticut Farmland Trust to Laurel Ridge. Speakers included CT Public Radio’s Faith Middleton, actress Christine Baranski and celebrity Chef Jacques Pepin. Numerous local farms and producers were in attendance as well as Bill and Joan Burgess of Litchfield. Bill is the president of Litchfield Hills Food Systems which operates the Litchfield Hills Farm-Fresh Market held weekly on Saturday mornings at Center School in Litchfield.
