Litchfield.bz (8-23-10)

The Goshen Historical Society held an ice cream and cake party on Sunday to celebrate its 55th anniversary. Henrietta Horvay, the society's president and curator, and several members of the organization participated. Horvay read a proclamation presented by the state legislature congratulating the society for its contributions to Goshen. In the photos, top to bottom, Lynn Steinmayer and her children, Lillian and Christoph, sign the guest book; Cindy Harmon serves ice cream; Horvay rings a bell to begin the festivities and holds the proclamation from the legislature; and Horvay cuts the cake with Suzette Barker, left, and Marcia Barker looking on.
