Korean War veterans cited in Goshen

Goshen's 41 residents who served in the military during the Korean War were honored by the town and American Legion Post 46 at Camp Cochipianee on Sunday. First Selectman Robert P. Valentine, Town Clerk Barbara Breor and Post 46 Commander Ed Wright participated in the tribute. Nine of the veterans attended. They were: Joseph Aukstolis Jr. (Air Force); Mark Chanko (Army); Gerald Harmon (Army); Walter Horvay (Army); Walter O'Shea (Army); John Rudnyai (Army); Anthony Savarese (Army); Arthur Smith (Marines); and William Taft (Navy). Each received a certificate of appreciation from Breor. Others honored were Walter Arbo (Army); Paul Borzansky (Coast Guard); Vincent Corniello (Air Force); Richard Creigh (Army); Robert Davidson (Navy); Albert Diehl (Navy); Robert Evangelisti (Marines); Thomas Farrell (Marines); Clinton Gangell Jr. (Army); Richard Gannon (Army); Patrick Harrington (Marines); Robert Hill (Army); Carl Hooper (Army); William Horton (Coast Guard); John Kelley (Marines); Cornelius Kettner (Air Force); John Kisiel (Army); Jay Koslow (Army); Richard Massini (Navy); Gerard McGuirk (Army); John Miller (Army); Kenneth Munson (Army); Ronald Nodine (Army); Jack Rabin (Army); John Reilly (Army); Bernard Richards (Army); Albert Stancs (Navy); Gregg Timms (Marines); and Edwin Warren (Army).
