Litchfield.bz (8-9-10)

Meghan Tanner of Warren was a big winner at the Litchfield County 4-H Fair on Saturday at the Goshen Fairgrounds. Tanner's Jersey cow, Flip Flop, was named Grand Champion of Show. Tanner, 17, lives in Warren and will be a senior at Wamogo Regional High School. She was the first vice president of the fair and was the second member of her family to win the fair's Grand Champion of Show Award. Her dad, Cal, won in 1974. Meghan Tanner is shown with Flip Flop after the competition. Tanner also had a chance to meet U.S. Senate candidate Linda McMahon during McMahon's visit to the fair. McMahon was escorted around the fairgrounds by Goshen First Selectman Robert P. Valentine.
