Litchfield's Parks and Recreation Department held its annual summer picnic for senior citizens Thursday at the Litchfield Community Center. More than 60 seniors turned out for lunch and dancing to the sound of the Jerry Carrillo Quartet. Parks and recreation assistant director Lisa Beyer organized the picnic and had help from director Brent Hawkins, First Selectman Leo Paul, state Rep. Craig Miner, Selectman Diane Knox, Parks and Recreation Commission member Diane Fredsall, and volunteers Audrey Blondin, Chris Alexander, Rose Blondin, Mike Shea, Diane Blick, Luke Fredsall and Chris Fredsall.
In the photos, Paul works at the grill with Miner, left, and Hawkins watching, seniors enjoying lunch, Audrey Blondin, Rose Blondin and Shea serving dessert, and Audrey Blondin serving dessert to Bill Brennan.
