Construction of a pole barn that will house the rowing equipment of the Litchfield Hills Rowing Club and the Taft School got underway this week at the Litchfield Town Beach on Bantam Lake. Premier Structures of Lancaster, Pa., is building the barn, which will replace a building that was torn down. The rowing club and Taft are each paying $33,000 towards the project. The town secured a Small Town Economic Assistance Program grant of $33,000 to complete funding for the work.
