The Litchfield Hills Farm-Fresh Indoor Market hosted singer Nathan Day on Saturday morning. After all the snow, the market was well attended by those seeking some relief from cabin fever. The next indoor market is scheduled for March 13th from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm at the Litchfield Community Center.

"The Groove" rocks out the LCC

"The Groove" rocked the house on Saturday night at the Litchfield Community Center. The band is made up of Litchfield residents Jim Tompkins, Julius Dichter and Ben Buck with Keith Marceski from Goshen and Jim Katzin from Litchfield substituting on bass guitar. They provided a mix of original songs plus covers for some rock classics.

African Americans in Litchfield

Video Interview with Lynne Brickley

The Litchfield Historical Society hosted "Tasting the "Sweets of Liberty: African Americans in Litchfield" on Sunday as the final part of a lecture series for Black History month at the Litchfield Historical Society. Local historian, Lynne Brickley described the presence and experiences of the town's African Americans. Through her extensive research, Ms Brickley uncovered a wealth of new information on the African Americans in Litchfield from colonial times to the twentieth century.
