It was another busy weekend starting with the American Legion Post #44 Veteran of the Month ceremony at the Bantam Borough Hall followed by a ceremony to honor four chaplains who gave their life jackets to young sailors after a torpedo attack on the USS Dorchester during World War II.
The Litchfield Hills Farm-Fresh Indoor Market had some special guests including a baby goat (Goatboy Soaps) and music by Tom Hanford and Marty Brennan.
Several local musicians entertained a crowd of about 50 during a fundraiser held Saturday at the Litchfield Community Center to benefit the Haiti Emergency Children's Relief Fund. Organized by Jim Palermo of Litchfield, the event raised about $600.
A new flag is flying over the Litchfield Green to honor those serving their country.
